[Explanation] RCEP and Guizhou-Taiwan Industry Exchange Matchmaking Meeting and the 18th Guizhou-Taiwan Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Forum opened in Nanning, Guangxi on December 1.
Guizhou and Taiwan will discuss cooperation and seek common development around the theme of "sharing new RCEP opportunities and promoting new development of cooperation between Guizhou and Taiwan".
For a period of time, Guangxi and Taiwan have increasingly frequent exchanges, closer cooperation, and continuous expansion of economic and trade cooperation.
In the past ten years, the trade volume between Guangxi and Taiwan has increased from 352 million US dollars to 3.15 billion US dollars; more than 8.6 million people from Taiwan came to Guangxi, and nearly 600,000 people from Guangxi went to Taiwan.
Li Zhenghong, president of the National Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprise Association, said that from the first encounter with the world-beating Guilin landscape to the present, he has witnessed the great development of the Beibu Gulf, the construction of the Guangxi Free Trade Zone, the establishment of the first cross-strait cooperation park, and the establishment of the western region. The concept of the New Land-Sea Corridor was put forward.
Li Zhenghong said that with the signing and operation of RCEP, Taiwanese businessmen have new opportunities for development.
