For the second consecutive year,

20 Minutes

is a partner of the overseas economic conferences, organized by the

Ouest-France

group ,

Le Marin

and Ilago.

The event, dedicated to the French overseas economy, and the second edition of which has the theme "Entrepreneurship together", is being held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. An appointment to follow live on our website, free of charge and without registration.

The overseas territories are 13 territories of more than 2.7 million French people, in the three oceans (Atlantic, Pacific and Indian).

Mayotte, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, the West Indies, Guyana, Réunion, Wallis-et-Futuna and Polynesia… These are also and above all territories that are full of attractiveness, opportunities and prospects.

And this, in many areas still unknown to the general public.

They are solid assets for the Republic, in the same way as the rest of the French regions and departments.

This is what we want you to discover.

The great challenges of the overseas territories

How to reassure investors?

What are the potentials and obstacles to achieving the ambition of energy autonomy and transition?

How can the economic development of overseas territories better take into account local societal realities?

Politicians, investors, entrepreneurs and other actors of these territories will speak on issues of economic policy, energy, maritime, agriculture, tourism, employment, housing, transport, space and culture to analyze the issues and major challenges to be met by the various DROM-COMs, despite the complex political and social context.

The Minister Delegate for Overseas Territories, Jean-François Carenco will also be present to discuss the means put in place by the government to support overseas businesses, strengthen and invigorate historical sectors and promote the emergence of new markets.

Tuesday afternoon you can find us during the round tables devoted to employment and housing, at 3:25 p.m., then to island mobility, at 4:35 p.m.

The two-starred chef Marcel Ravin and Eric Brel, expert in charge of the development of space applications for the maritime and overseas territories at the National Center for Space Studies (Cnes), will be at the heart of interviews with our journalists Sélène Agapé and Julie Bossart .
