The output value of leading industries in 45 national-level clusters will reach 19 trillion yuan in 2021, and 18 national manufacturing innovation centers have been established, accounting for 70% of the total number of national-level innovation centers. There are more than 1,700 national-level technological innovation carriers. More than 170 national individual champion enterprises and more than 2,200 national-level specialized and special new "little giant" enterprises have become an important carrier to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.

Among the 45 national-level clusters, there are 13 in the field of new generation information technology, 13 in the field of high-end equipment, 7 in the field of new materials, 5 in the field of biomedicine and high-end medical equipment, 4 in the field of consumer goods, and in the field of new energy and intelligent networked vehicles 3, covering the key areas of building a strong manufacturing country, and becoming an important force leading the innovation and development of key industries and fields.
The 45 national-level clusters involve 19 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and 3 cities under separate state planning, including 30 in the eastern region, 8 in the central region, 5 in the western region, and 2 in the northeastern region. The number of clusters in the four key regions of Triangle and Chengdu-Chongqing reached 30, accounting for 2/3, and national-level clusters have become an important engine leading regional economic development.
