Al-Awa stressed the prominent role of the events hosted by Dubai in raising the rates of tourism flow, noting that «the emirate is a global destination for leisure tourism, family tourism, business and conferences, as well as medical tourism, sports and cultural events».

Al-Awa pointed to the strong return of flow levels from the Gulf market, compared to levels before the "Covid-19" pandemic, including the Omani and Saudi markets.

He said, "With the lifting of travel restrictions related to (Corona) around the world, we expect tourism flow rates in Dubai to reach high levels," pointing out that "hotel facilities in the emirate are achieving a strong performance during the current period, reaching their peak in the second half." He added, "The average ticket price during the current month to the UAE is about $367 (1,344 dirhams), while the average length of stay for hotel reservations is about five days."

He pointed out that "markets from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as regional and Arab markets, are at the forefront of searches for flights and hotel accommodation to Dubai."

A boom in travel

Emirates Airlines confirmed that it is witnessing a boom in travel, for departures, arrivals and transit (transit) until the end of next December.

The airline attributed the increased demand for travel to the increase in the number of visitors coming to Dubai with the mild weather, the UAE Union Day holiday and the year-end holiday season, in addition to the series of sporting and entertainment events and events that are organized in the country, expecting to reach the seasonal peak of travel for the holiday season starting from the 16th.
