  Shenzhen Port has thus become the fourth hub port in the world and the first hub port in South China with LNG bunkering service capabilities after Singapore, Rotterdam, and Shanghai ports. It is also an important step for Shenzhen to promote the development of green shipping and build an international bonded fuel bunkering center.

  The bonded fuel oil bunkering business for ships on international voyages refers to the supply of duty-free oil products for ships on international voyages in accordance with international practice.

Compared with traditional fuel ships, LNG-powered ships can reduce sulfur oxide emissions by up to 100% and nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 85%.

Since the International Maritime Organization (IMO) global sulfur limit came into effect in 2020, LNG has rapidly become a new trend of marine fuel.

Among them, the LNG bunkering market mainly in Asia and Europe is growing rapidly.

  Yantian District, Shenzhen City is connected to Hong Kong by water and land. It has a world-class natural deep-water port, Yantian Port, and has developed international routes. It is an important support for Shenzhen International Shipping Center.

In October 2020, the "Implementation Plan for the Pilot Comprehensive Reform of Shenzhen's Construction of a Pioneering Demonstration Zone of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics (2020-2025)" released the first list of authorized items, which clearly endowed Shenzhen with the right to license bonded refueling for international voyage ships, and proposed that the Shenzhen waters piloted the bonded LNG bunkering business for international voyage ships.

  At the end of 2020, the Yantian District Government of Shenzhen City joined hands with China National Petroleum Corporation, Yantian Port Group and Shenzhen Gas to sign a cooperation agreement on the Shenzhen Offshore International LNG Bunkering Center Project.

In June 2021, the first bunkering of bonded fuel oil for Shenzhen international ships was completed at Yantian Port, and the bunkering volume of 100,000 tons was achieved in the same year.

Since the beginning of this year, the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Yantian District Government have formulated management measures and special support policies for the pilot project of bunkering, and made every effort to promote the pilot project of bonded LNG bunkering.

  It is reported that Yantian District currently has two LNG bunkering companies, Shenzhen PetroChina International LNG Bunkering Co., Ltd. and CNOOC (Shenzhen) International Ship Clean Energy Co., Ltd.; the world's largest C-type tank LNG bunkering ship "Xin Aoputuo" and The world's largest liquefied natural gas transport bunkering ship "Haiyang Shiyou 301" 2 bunkering ships; ENN Shipping 1 LNG ship management company; 3 national pipeline network Shenzhen LNG receiving stations, Hua'an Wharf and Diefubei (under construction) 3 rehydration The wharf ranks first in the country in terms of unloading and handling capacity; the first domestic LNG bunkering emergency command ship "Deep Sea 01".

An LNG bunkering center for international sailing ships, which relies on energy giants, advanced bunkering ships, convenient bunkering homeports and large container ports, has taken shape.

  The relevant person in charge of Yantian District said that in the next step, Yantian District will actively deploy methanol fueled container ship bunkering, enrich the variety of bonded fuel bunkering, and strive to form a bonded fuel bunkering industry worth 100 billion yuan.
