From 10 pm on the 3rd, the late-night call rate for Kakao T's taxi, which has the most subscribers, will increase.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that Kakao Mobility, which operates Kakao T in Seoul and other metropolitan areas, will apply late-night flexible call rates from 10 pm tonight.

Kakao T has virtually monopolized the taxi calling platform with 9 out of 10 taxi drivers nationwide.

Kakao T subscription rate among taxi drivers in Seoul is 98.2%, Gyeonggi-do is 99.3%, Incheon is 98.8%, and the number of passengers is 33 million.

Half-half taxi, Tada, and T-moneyonda raised their late-night calling rates, but since they do not have many subscribers, it can be seen that the late-night calling rates actually start to increase from today, which is applied to Kakao T.

If you call a taxi between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., you can charge up to 5,000 won for affiliated taxis such as Kakao T Blue and up to 4,000 won for brokerage taxis such as Kakao T.

Calling rates tend to be higher and adjust flexibly during times and regions with high demand.

If you call a taxi from Gangnam Station in Seoul at midnight, the maximum calling fee of 4,000 to 5,000 won is applied.

Passengers can choose whether to call a cab for a fee, and toll free calls are still available.

The taxi driver took 80-90% of the brokerage fee.

When the passenger pays for the calling fee, it is automatically deposited into the driver's account registered in advance.

When a passenger pays a calling fee, the destination is not indicated or the taxi driver cannot filter out short-distance calls by forcibly dispatching them.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it will disclose data on how many taxis have increased due to late-night operation groups, the introduction of flexible toll fees, and the lifting of subtitles while monitoring the status of late-night taxi supply.

If there is no significant increase in taxis at night, we plan to activate the Tada and Uber models.
