• Energy Britons face daily three-hour blackouts

The BBC has prepared

secret scripts

that its presenters could read live if gas shortages ever caused a power blackout this winter.

This is how the British medium The Guardian advances, which claims to have had access to said scripts.

These scripts are prepared to be

read live if this happens.

And, in them, according to this newspaper, the television network would reassure the public in the event that "a large energy loss" caused the failure of mobile phone networks, Internet access, or banking systems in Wales, England and Scotland.

In addition, they would advise citizens to use the car radio or battery-operated receivers to inform themselves through emergency broadcasts.

This blackout could last up to two days.

Apparently, always according to The Guardian, the scripts have been written by BBC journalists and are part of the emergency planning that the network does for hypothetical scenarios, since in a national emergency the network plays a fundamental role in helping spread information.

From the British Government they have assured companies and citizens that blackouts are unlikely to occur.

However, the National Grid company, which monitors Britain's electricity supply, has warned that power supplies could be at risk.

According to this company, "in the worst case", the British could face daily three-hour blackouts this winter.
