The Memorial Park of the Middle Route Project of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, which is adjacent to the dam, is a "tourism card".
The memorial park covers an area of about 546 mu. It is the only theme cultural tourist attraction in the middle line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in the country, and the only real-life water transfer culture and water conservancy immigrant spirit display experience place in the park.
The reporter recently followed the "Miracle China Tianhe Dreams" - the online theme publicity campaign of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project into the memorial park and saw that at the entrance to the park, an archway engraved with "Han Shui Danxin" was striking.
"In order to ensure the smooth progress of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, over the years, 260,000 Danjiangkou migrants have bid farewell to their homes and moved to the outside world, making great contributions," said Peng Yajing, an instructor of the park.

The historical sites of the Three Kingdoms in Xuchang, the Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo, the ruins of Yin Ruins in Anyang, the Dagu Fort in Tianjin... Stroll in the park, and the miniature landscapes of the water-receiving cities along the line are "beaded in a line".
Chen Haiyan, general manager of the park, introduced that the memorial park features 11 major water conservancy engineering technical nodes in the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and a panoramic experience of 15 urban cultural landmarks such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Henan and Shiyan, forming the main tour of the park.
"Next step, the Memorial Park of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project will further enrich cultural tourism activities with Danjiangkou characteristics and the cultural core of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, and innovate themed night tours, which can not only promote the spirit of immigrants, inherit the Hanshui culture, but also develop the 'water economy'." Not far away, the South-to-North Water Diversion Museum is under construction.
According to the person in charge of the project, the South-to-North Water Diversion Museum is carried out in accordance with the standards of building a 5A-level scenic spot, deeply integrating traditional culture, regional characteristics, and the mid-line project, water transfer culture and immigration spirit, and comprehensively displays the east, middle and Decision-making, planning, construction and benefits of the West Third Line Project.
In addition, with the South-to-North Water Diversion Museum as the core, a pan-museum area of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, a water culture main business area, a water healthy living area, a water ecological agricultural sightseeing area, a water city convenience service area and a Canglanghai tourist port will be built in the surrounding areas. There are six functional areas in the district.

Statistics show that at present, Danjiangkou City has built 15 A-level or above scenic spots. In the past five years, it has received an average of more than 16 million tourists per year, and the comprehensive tourism revenue has increased by more than 20% annually. Eco-tourism has injected "green power" into the development of the city.
