Some netizens once posted the experience of "staying in a five-star hotel in Hegang for 300 yuan" on social platforms, which made Hegang tourism gain a wave of attention.
Cities such as Liuzhou, which is famous for its snail noodles, Tieling, the "end of the universe", and Karamay, a small oil town, are becoming popular destinations in this wave of "reverse tourism".
"Tourism in the past was to see the scenery, today's tourism is to experience the scene." During this National Day holiday, the suburbs of Beijing ushered in a large number of tourists who "did not travel far".
