María Jesús Montero has delivered this Thursday the General State Budgets (PGE) for 2023 with an expense item that not only stands out, as usual, but also grows even more strongly and is already close to 200,000 million: the expense destined to pensions.

The total endowment of the system is 190,687 million euros, which represents an increase of 19,548 million as a direct consequence of the Government's decision to raise pensions by 8.5%.

Linearly, both to pensions of 1,000 euros and to those of 2,500, thus leaving them out of the income agreement that it does ask for from workers.

The document also responds to the Government's premise that "those who have more, have to contribute more", with tax increases for the highest classes, reductions for low incomes and almost no relief for the middle classes.
