Tokyo metropolitan supermarket "Okay" has officially announced a policy to open a store in Kansai.

Although we once tried to expand into the Kansai region through the acquisition of "Kansai Supermarket," we gave up last year, and this time we will advance on our own.

According to the announcement, OK through its subsidiary will acquire land in a city in Higashi-Osaka, Osaka by bidding and will be handed over in mid-November.

With an area of more than 3,600 square meters, the company is preparing to open a flagship store in this location in the first half of next year.

On top of that, we plan to actively open stores in the Kansai region, and if preparations are complete, we may open the first store in the Kansai area before this flagship store.

Last year, OK lost in a judicial battle with the operating company of Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores over the acquisition of Kansai Supermarket. In February, together with two other supermarkets, we joined Kansai Food Market, one of the leading supermarket associations in the Kansai region, and are developing our business.
