“The new regions of the Russian Federation have a powerful economic and industrial potential, which has been neglected for a long time,” the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry noted that a state program for the modernization and development of infrastructure, including social infrastructure, will be developed for the new regions.
The gross regional product of the new regions will reach about 3 trillion rubles within five years, the Ministry of Economic Development reported.
