Otsuka Pharmaceutical's dietary supplement "Calorie Mate" has been raised for the first time since its launch in 1983 due to soaring raw material prices.

According to the announcement, the price increase will start from February 1st next year, and in the case of a 4-pack of "Calorie Mate Block", the suggested retail price excluding tax will be raised by 10%, from the current 200 yen to 220 yen.

In addition, including this product, the suggested retail price of 55 items, including nutritional supplements, confectionery, and supplements, will be raised by about 8% to 14% from shipment on February 1, next year.

The company explained that the reason for the price hike was that raw material prices and energy costs continued to rise, making it difficult to maintain prices through corporate efforts alone. It is a form of spread.
