He answered the question whether Moscow has an understanding of the time frame for the restoration of Nord Stream, and whether Russia plans to request international assistance.

“There is an understanding that it needs to be restored, there is an understanding that, in general, anything can be restored,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman added that it is not clear what kind of international cooperation Russia can count on in the current situation, given the "hysterical-antagonistic position of the entire collective West."

He also said that it is still necessary to examine the areas of damaged pipelines and understand "what is down there" in order to assess the size of the disaster. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that the Anglo-Saxons organized sabotage on the Nord Stream.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Poland, the United States and Ukraine could be interested in accidents at the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
