The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has approved the new formation of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council with the aim of providing all forms of support to enable women entrepreneurs to establish their businesses and enhance their growth by refining their skills, introducing them to the policies and laws followed, and guiding them on how to benefit from local and federal government incentives and initiatives, in addition to Raising their contributions to the economic development process in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Chamber stated in a statement yesterday that the council includes in its membership a mixture of female members of the Chamber's board of directors and successful business women in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where the council is chaired by Asmaa Al-Fahim, and the membership of Noor Al-Tamimi, Dr. Khadija Al-Amiri, Marwa Al-Mansoori and Sheikha Al-Nowais.

Al Fahim stressed that the UAE has given women empowerment great attention, and over five decades has provided them with exceptional support to be an essential partner in the process of building the state and its progress, as was the support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Emirates", President of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Foundation Family Development, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Honorary President of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, the great role in Emirati women’s achievement of excellence and success in all fields, especially in the entrepreneurship sector, where prospects were opened for them, and capabilities were harnessed to occupy the position they deserve in the system of economic empowerment for women. regionally and internationally.
