Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously recalled that in February Biden promised to get rid of Nord Stream 2.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, previously noted that the Nord Stream incident took place in an area controlled by American intelligence.

As White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre explained, Biden promised not to destroy the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but not to allow it to be put into operation.
