August industrial production index rises for 3 consecutive months, 2.7% higher than the previous month

The industrial production index for last month and August, which shows corporate production activities, was 99.5 with 2015 as 100, an increase of 2.7% from the previous month and an increase for three consecutive months.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has revised its assessment of corporate production activity upwards from ``fading back and forth'' to ``movement of gradual recovery''.
