Next month, Dubai will host the world's largest technology exhibition "GITEX Global", where the elite of the brightest minds and advanced technology companies meet to delve into the "Web 3.0 economy" industry.
GITEX Global 2022 will return to the Dubai World Trade Center from October 10 to 14, surpassing all its previous editions, in terms of size and capacity, with 5,000 exhibiting companies from more than 90 countries participating in it, distributed across 26 halls. Showcase, totaling 2 million square feet, that's an exceptional 25% year-over-year increase.
The 42nd edition of GITEX 3.0 is the most influential edition in the event's history.
It covers seven diverse technology topics across the domains of metaviruses, the future of the decentralized internet, and the sustainable global digital economy.
In his speech during the official press conference of the exhibition yesterday, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, said: “This year’s edition is considered the largest in the history of GITEX, as it attracts more than 5,000 exhibiting companies from more than 90 countries. spread over a total area of two million square feet, making it the world's largest technology fair.
This year, my office collaborated with GITEX to ensure our actual contributions to innovation and technological development, rather than just showcasing technology.”
He also stressed the importance of the "Global Dev Slam" event, which is expected to become one of the largest developer events in the world.
He concluded his speech by thanking everyone who believed in the message of the UAE and supported its path.
Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Events Management at Dubai World Trade Center and organizer of GITEX Global, said: “GITEX is no longer just a huge meeting place for individuals, but has become the strongest link to humanizing virtual and digital economies.”
She added, "GITEX carries a deep message of enabling and accelerating the digital economies of the UAE and its many partners, by connecting serious stakeholders with bright minds around the world, and dedicating these links through implementable partnerships."
GITEX Global 2022 will be the first major exhibition that e& (formerly Etisalat) will participate in since launching its new brand earlier this year.
