Air France is reopening the doors of its cadet pilot sector, suspended since the Covid crisis.

Applications can be made online from October 15 until November 20, 2022, the company says on its website.

This training is free for aspirants, since it is 100% financed by Air France.

After passing the selection stage, the successful candidates will join a school for a theoretical and practical course of 24 months, during which they will be assessed several times.

Few female pilots

To follow the training, no piloting experience is required.

“It aims to encourage vocations among candidates from all walks of life and to promote diversity,” explains the airline.

The latter encourages women to engage in this profession.

The class of 2019 had only 13% of cadets.

In total, Air France has 9% of female pilots.

The winners of this training will join the staff of Air France or its subsidiary Transavia as an airline pilot officer.

As part of the resumption of activity, the French company has relaunched the recruitment of professional pilots.

300 new pilots have been hired since January 2022. One hundred other recruitments are planned by the end of the year.
