His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, inaugurated the 24th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), and the Dubai Solar Energy, which is organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy The President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, under the slogan “At the forefront of sustainability,” and will continue until tomorrow (Thursday), at the Dubai World Trade Center.
This year, WETEX and Dubai Solar will cover an area of 62,51 thousand square meters, with the participation of 1,750 companies from 55 countries, in addition to 64 sponsors, 32 partners and supporting bodies. The exhibition also includes 20 international pavilions.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: “With the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has become a global center for the green economy, and supports the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to achieve sustainable development and enhance the country’s leading position in the field of green development.

The exhibition also contributes to introducing the world to the UAE’s achievements in the renewable and clean energy sector, and shedding light on Dubai’s efforts to increase reliance on renewable energy and enhance sustainability within the framework of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai to provide 100% of the production capacity of energy from sources Clean energy by 2050.

In addition to presenting the latest technologies and innovations in the energy, water, sustainability, renewable and clean energy sectors from around the world, DEWA organized eight discussion and dialogue sessions on clean energy and smart mobility, during the first day's activities, with the participation of a group of specialists and experts.
The opening of the exhibition
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, Director General of the Union of Water and Electricity, Hilal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and CEO of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC). Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of the Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), Ahmed bin Shafar, CEO of Dubai Ambulance, Mishaal Abdul Karim Julfar, CEO of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), Mohammed Jamil Al Ramahi, and Managing Director of Emirates Global Aluminium, Abdullah Bin Kalban, along with a group of officials in government and private agencies.
