“Supplies of coal and natural gas from Russia to China in August 2022 set a historical record,” the ministry said in a statement on the VKontakte social network.

It is noted that in August, China imported natural gas from Russia in the amount of $409.37 million, which is the maximum since January 2017.

At the same time, coal exports from Russia to China in August amounted to 8.542 million tons, reaching a maximum value over the past five years.
