Saudi Arabia: The value of oil exports rose by 68.9% during last July

The value of Saudi oil exports jumped during the month of July, on an annual basis, by 69.9 percent, to reach about 114.2 billion riyals, compared to 67.6 billion riyals in the same month last year.
And according to what was published by the Saudi “Al-Eqtisadiah” newspaper today, oil prices were affected by the Corona pandemic in 2020 and 2021, but they recovered significantly during the current year, exceeding $100 a barrel.
The value of Saudi merchandise exports jumped during the month of July, on an annual basis, by 58.8 percent, to reach about 140.8 billion riyals, compared to 88.7 billion riyals in the same month of 2021.
The value of merchandise imports increased by 18.3 percent, to reach 55.1 billion riyals, compared to 46.6 billion riyals for the same month last year.
Saudi non-oil exports rose during the month before last to reach 26.7 billion riyals, recording a growth of 26.4 percent on an annual basis, compared to about 21.1 billion riyals in the same month last year.
And the General Authority for Statistics indicated, in a statement on Twitter, today that "the total exports amounted to 144.8 billion riyals."
