Liu Zhao introduced that as of the end of August, the number of new energy vehicles in my country reached 10.99 million, a year-on-year increase of 65%.
From January to August this year, the number of newly registered new energy vehicles reached 3.22 million, doubling from the same period last year.
The trend of automobile intelligence is also accelerating significantly, and highly autonomous driving technologies above L3 level are gradually being applied in specific scenarios and limited areas such as urban taxis, trunk logistics, and terminal distribution.
Liu Zhao pointed out that the Ministry of Public Security attaches great importance to and actively supports the innovation and development of the intelligent networked vehicle industry, focusing on issues such as self-driving vehicles on the road for testing and traffic violations, liability for illegal accidents, and actively promoting the improvement and revision of the "Road Traffic Safety Law", and promoting the "National Vehicle Networking Industry".
