China News Service, September 13. According to the website of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transportation on the 13th, at 8:10 a.m. on September 13th, when passengers swiped their cards and codes to enter the station at some stations of Beijing Rail Transit, the gates indicated that they could not be found valid. Nucleic acid information caused passengers to be unable to enter the station, and some stations experienced short-term congestion.

The Beijing Metro Operation Company and the Beijing-Hong Kong Metro Company immediately activated the emergency plan mechanism, dispatched on-site staff urgently, and changed the automatic nucleic acid verification at the gate to manual verification. At 8:40, the on-site order gradually returned to normal.

After investigation by the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center, it was initially determined that the program of the rail ticketing system was upgraded, which caused the back-end access congestion and caused the verification failure. The Rail Guide Center has organized relevant departments to repair it.

At 15:00 the system returned to normal.

The Beijing Rail Transit Command Center apologizes for the inconvenience caused to passengers by this system failure, and also thanks the passengers for their understanding and support.

In the next step, the rail index center will work with the subway operating units to conduct an in-depth analysis of the cause of the accident, emergency plan, reporting mechanism, etc., conduct a comprehensive review, optimize and improve the ticketing system, improve technical support and emergency response capabilities, and ensure the smooth operation of the ticketing system. Good service for citizens to travel smoothly.
