Hino Motors, which has revealed fraudulent engine inspection data, has resumed shipments from the 13th with some models of medium-duty trucks that have been approved for shipment by the country.

However, there are still some vehicles, such as heavy-duty trucks, with no prospect of resuming shipments, and it is inevitable that the impact will be prolonged.

Hino Motors, headquartered in Hino City, Tokyo, has suspended shipments of target trucks and buses since March due to the problem of submitting illegal data such as exhaust gas to the government.

A new fraud was found on the 22nd of last month, and it became an unusual situation to stop shipment of all domestic trucks and buses equipped with the company's engines.

However, on the 9th of this month, the country approved the shipment of engines whose performance was confirmed to meet the standards, so shipments of some medium-duty truck models were resumed from the 13th.

The company says it will gradually resume shipments of other trucks and buses that have been approved for shipment.

However, there is still no prospect of resuming shipments of heavy-duty trucks equipped with engines whose certifications necessary for vehicle production have been rescinded, and this will have an impact on companies that use trucks and parts manufacturers that do business with them. is a situation that cannot be avoided for a long time.

Hino Motors commented, ``We have resumed shipments in order to deliver the vehicles to our customers as soon as possible.
