Emirates Airlines welcomes the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria and resumes flights to Lagos on September 11

"Emirates Airlines" welcomed the decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria to release part of the company's frozen funds, noting that, accordingly, the carrier will resume operating its flights between Dubai and Lagos as of September 11.

An Emirates spokesperson said: "We welcome the move by the Central Bank of Nigeria to release a portion of our frozen funds, and we continue to work with the Nigerian authorities to ensure that our frozen and future funds continue to be returned unhindered."

The spokesman added: Accordingly, Emirates Airlines will resume operating its flights between Dubai and Lagos as of September 11, which is the earliest date to coordinate the smooth and safe resumption of operations, and will also provide customers with sufficient time to plan their travel and make reservations.

He stated that the airline is constantly reviewing its operations, and will adjust flight schedules in response to demand and other operational factors.
