Bin Sulayem explained that "up to 65% of the tea trade around the world passes through the UAE through storage operations in warehouses and re-exports," noting that "Dubai Multi Commodities" is studying opportunities to establish new centers, most notably in the areas of halal meat trade, Cocoa and honey products.

Bin Sulayem indicated, in statements to "Emirates Today", on the sidelines of a press interview, yesterday, that "the center received during the first half of this year several new companies, most of which focus in the sectors of technologies and the field of encrypted assets," noting that "the Center Dubai Multi Commodities was able to record the best semi-annual performance in its history, after it attracted 1,469 new companies during the first half of this year, a growth of 19% compared to the same period last year.

He explained that "the center has so far attracted more than 400 companies and platforms operating in the crypto-assets and virtual currencies sector, with a percentage exceeding one-third of the total number of companies operating in this field in the country's markets."

He added that "the (Crypto Center) launched by (Dubai Multimedia) during the past year to provide a comprehensive system that supports the growth and prosperity of businesses and companies active in the crypto and blockchain sectors in Dubai, has contributed significantly to supporting the attraction of many companies operating in the field of encrypted assets, and it is expected that It will witness increasing growth in the coming periods, with it being one of the prominent future trends at the global levels.”

Bin Sulayem said, "(Dubai Multi Commodities) set record indicators during the first quarter, as it succeeded in attracting 665 new companies to join its Dubai Free Zone during the first quarter of 2022, recording the best quarterly performance since its establishment 20 years ago.
