Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Shu Jueting said that since August, the epidemic has brought multiple difficulties to the normal business activities of e-commerce companies in Yiwu. As a result, some companies face the risk of default.

  In order to help enterprises cope with the current difficulties, local commerce authorities acted quickly, focusing on strengthening enterprise services, promoting smooth logistics channels, and actively carrying out work, including: opening up a fast complaint channel for abnormal code changes of freight drivers, and making good use of the white list of key foreign trade enterprises mechanism, implement the "one enterprise, one policy" for key enterprises, and support qualified enterprises to carry out closed-loop production, etc.

In response to the problem that some orders could not be fulfilled on time due to the epidemic, the Ministry of Commerce organized local commercial departments to actively coordinate the timely response of major e-commerce platforms. Two-way channels for reporting exemptions are set up, and special complaint channels are set up to protect the legitimate rights and interests of merchants; at the same time, merchants affected by the epidemic are guided to take the initiative to publicize their stores, strengthen communication with consumers and customers, and effectively protect consumers’ right to know and right to choose.

  In the follow-up, the Ministry of Commerce will closely track the impact of the epidemic in Yiwu, coordinate and solve the difficulties and demands faced by enterprises in a timely manner, support and guide local commerce departments to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and make every effort to help enterprises resume normal operations as soon as possible.
