African swine fever was confirmed at a pig farm in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do.



The African Swine Fever Central Accident and Response Headquarters said that it was confirmed as swine fever as a result of a detailed analysis of samples from the farm at the Gangwon-do Animal Sanitation Test Center.



The heavy water headquarters immediately dispatches an initial quarantine team and an epidemiological investigation team to the site to take emergency quarantine measures such as access control, disinfection, and epidemiological investigation of outsiders, livestock, and vehicles.



In addition, to prevent the spread of African swine fever, all 5,600 pigs raised on the farm will be culled, and clinical tests will be conducted on all pig farms in Gangwon-do.



Jungsubon also issued an order to temporarily suspend movement of pig farms, slaughterhouses, feed factories, and vehicles in Gangwon-do for 48 hours from 10:30 p.m. to the day after today (18th).
