factories, entered the Seoul headquarters building in the early morning of this morning (17th) and started occupying the siege.

The strike that started in March this year to raise the shipping fee has been going on for half a year, and reporter Jeon Yeon-nam pointed out the background.

This morning at 6 am, this is the headquarters of Hite Jinro in Seoul.

While the guard, who was watching the outside of the building, was away as if to check something, a man from the other side entered the building and subdues the guard who came back.

Then people with ropes and banners jump in all at once.

These people are 70 truck drivers belonging to subsidiaries that ship soju at the Icheon factory in Gyeonggi-do.

Since last March, the protests have been going around three factories, and now they have come to the headquarters.

Ten of them went up to the roof, locked the door, and went into a sit-down on a large sign.

The strike started in March with a demand for a 30% increase in shipping rates, but now the issue has expanded to other areas.

The company said that it had sued the union for damages worth 2.7 billion won, claiming that it suffered damage as the product was blocked due to the strike, and the contract of 12 union members was terminated.

However, the union argues that the company does not want to re-employ all its members, and insists that the company's measures, including a claim for damages, be withdrawn.

[Kyung-sun Kim / Head of the Daejeon Regional Headquarters of the Cargo Coalition of Public Transport Workers' Union: Withdrawal of foreclosure, withdrawal of collective dismissal of 130 people, the company will have to engage in active negotiations so that the small wishes of our members can come true.

We have nowhere else to go.] The

union plans to continue the rooftop sit-down until the company accepts the demand.

However, the company can remove some of the leadership and accept union members again, but the litigation will continue, so the conflict between the two sides is expected to continue for a while.
