24.2 billion dirhams, market gains for local shares

Local stock indices continued their upward movements at the end of trading yesterday, as the Dubai Financial Market index rose for the third consecutive session, and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index rose for the fourth consecutive session.

The shares added about 24.24 billion dirhams to its market capital during yesterday's session, distributed over the Abu Dhabi Financial Market by 24 billion dirhams, and the Dubai Financial Market by about 237 million dirhams.

And local shares attracted a momentum of liquidity during trading, exceeding 1.77 billion dirhams, with a trading volume of 450.08 million shares, through the implementation of 16.43 thousand transactions.

In detail, the Dubai Financial Market index rose by 0.3% at the level of 3394 points, with transactions worth a total of 352 million dirhams.

The market witnessed an increase in the shares of 13 companies, out of the 32 companies, that were traded during the session, while the shares of 13 others declined, and six remained stable.

Shares of «Emaar Properties» rose by 1.8% to 5.69 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 27 million shares, while shares of "Emaar Properties" rose by 1.8% to 5.69 dirhams.

«Deyaar Development» by 0.8% at 0.510 dirhams, with transactions exceeding nine million shares.

Meanwhile, the "Dubai Islamic" share decreased by 0.2% to 5.97 dirhams, with trading of nearly five million shares.

The most heavily traded shares were «Gulf Navigation» share, which increased by 2.3% to close at 0.307 dirhams, with a turnover of nearly 115 million shares.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index closed yesterday, up by 0.8%, at the level of 10,239 points, with transactions worth a total of 1.4 billion dirhams.

Of the 51 companies whose shares were traded yesterday, the shares of 25 companies rose, while the shares of 22 companies declined, and four remained unchanged.

Borouge's share rose 0.7% to 3.08 dirhams, with trading of nearly 13 million shares.

The “ADNOC Distribution” share rose by 2.2% to reach 4.68 dirhams, and transactions exceeded 21 million shares, while the “Abu Dhabi Ports” share rose 2.5% to 4.95 dirhams, and transactions exceeded 19 million shares, while the “First Abu Dhabi” share closed at its previous price of 20 dirhams.
