The front seats of the Porsche Taycan are very sophisticated.

In addition to electrical settings, they can be heated, ventilated, or even downright massaging.

However, all this requires a lot of electric motors, and even more cables.

This is precisely where the origin of this recall campaign lies: on certain vehicles produced between October 2, 2019 and May 18, 2021, these harnesses could be incorrectly fixed, with therefore the risk of being damaged when the one of the front passengers adjusts his seat horizontally.

However, this deterioration could have consequences on the operation of safety elements, such as airbags or seat belt pretensioners.

9,570 Taycans are affected.

If the harness is damaged, it will be replaced.

Otherwise, it will be enough to secure it better under the seats with the help of a little adhesive tape.

Do not panic however: for the moment, this recall does not concern models circulating in Europe.

However, if you own a Taycan, nothing prevents you from having your car checked in a Porsche network workshop.
