The Gulf Cooperation Council, an organization made up of the six Gulf monarchies, condemned “
the military aggression of the Israeli occupation forces

, reactions have multiplied in the Gulf countries.
Qatar was the first to react.
The small emirate, one of the main donors to Gaza, first "
expressed its firm condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli aggression
", before pointing out in a second press release "

".
Saudi Arabia also condemned "
the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation forces
".
The Saudi Foreign Ministry also called on the international community to "
assume its responsibilities to end the escalation
".

For its part, the federation of the United Arab Emirates – one of the two countries in the region to have normalized its relations with Israel in September 2020 – reacted this Sunday, August 7.
Abu Dhabi called for " de-
escalation
" without condemning the Israeli attacks.
The statement also states that the Emirates are among the member countries of the UN Security Council to have requested a meeting on Monday August 8 to discuss the violence in the Gaza Strip.
