Korea's first lunar probe 'Danuri' will be launched at 8:08 am, about two hours later in our time.

'Danuri', which was built at the launch site yesterday (4th), is heading towards space, waiting only for launch.

Reporter Gu-hee Jung reported the local situation from Florida, USA.

<Reporter> This

is Space X's rocket Falcon 9, which carried Korea's first lunar probe Danuri.

Although it is an American rocket, the Korean lunar orbiter letters are clearly visible on the top.

It was set up on the launch pad yesterday and ready for launch.

The Falcon 9 will be launched soon.

It is a two-stage rocket, and our lunar probe Danuri is mounted on the second stage, which is the top.

If you look at the first column at the bottom, it looks black and old, because it has been reused 6 times.

The biggest advantage of this rocket is that it can be reused, and the first stage is reused even in today's launch.

[Kim Dae-gwan / Director of the Lunar Exploration Project, Aerospace Research Institute: Technically, I understand that I learned a lot while working with Space X.

In conclusion, I think it was an opportunity to share a lot about it.] The

field researchers do not let go of tension until the very end, but they also have great confidence in their successful launch and flight.

Falcon 9's launch success rate is 99%, and the lunar orbit carefully designed by our research team also received a passing grade from NASA.

[John Guidi / Deputy Director, NASA Space Exploration System: Korean researchers are very academic and technical.

Johnson Space Center experts and (Danuri) reviewed the flight trajectory.

I think there will be no problems, and the flight will be successful.]

Following the success of the launch vehicle Nuri, made with Korea's proprietary technology, to the moon exploration, there is growing anticipation in the field whether the Korean space age will write a new history today.
