The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Innovation Center has launched the second batch of the Clean Energy Youth Program, which targets talents and young energy leaders from various fields to develop their knowledge and expertise in the field of clean and renewable energy and deepen their knowledge of entrepreneurship.

The program includes a variety of training workshops, innovative educational sessions and field visits, with the participation of a group of academics, experts and specialists from many institutions, universities, start-ups, local and international institutions.

The program revolves around various areas of clean energy and highlights the use of disruptive technologies.

The second batch of the program attracted 25 graduates or undergraduates from 13 accredited academic institutions from various universities in the UAE in 15 different fields, including engineering or science, among others, and received 145 participation requests.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, ​​said: “We are committed to preparing qualified professionals and experts in all areas of clean energy to become effective partners in shaping their future and able to lead the next phase of implementing national strategies, including the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the emirate’s carbon neutrality strategy 2050.
