According to the plan, Guangzhou will build 5 high-speed subways with a distance of 452 kilometers: Lines 18 and 22 will be extended from north to south, and Lines 17, 28 and 37 will be added; 11 express subways with 607 kilometers: 24, Lines 25, 26, 27, 29; there are 37 general-speed subways with a total length of 907 kilometers, including: encrypting the line network in the central urban area, creating a relatively independent network for the Nansha sub-center, building the rail framework in the peripheral urban area, and introducing the surrounding cities such as Foshan and Dongguan 10 connecting rail lines.

  After the implementation of the plan, the planned mileage of the city's rail transit network is at the forefront of the world, with a million population having a rail transit (including intercity railway, suburban railway, and urban rail) mileage of 125 kilometers (100 kilometers in Tokyo, 127 kilometers in New York, and 151 kilometers in London). .

The population and employment coverage rate of 800 meters from the central city site exceeds 80%.

Achieving the "3060" space-time goal and "6080" passenger transportation goal: 30 minutes direct access from the central city to Nansha sub-center and peripheral urban centers; 60 minutes direct access to Guangzhou and various urban centers in the Bay Area, including 30 minutes to Foshan and Dongguan; Public transport accounts for 60% of motorized travel, and rail accounts for 80% of public transport travel.

  It is worth mentioning that the plan builds a 60-minute traffic circle in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with Guangzhou as the center, strengthens the connection between Guangzhou and the urban subway in the Bay Area, and realizes one network in Guangfo, multiple channels in Guangzhou and Dongguan, and direct access to adjacent urban centers. .

There are 28 external rail connection channels, including 18 Guangzhou-Foshan connection channels, 6 Guangzhou-Dongguan connection channels, and 1 connection channel between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Qingyuan, Zhongshan, Huizhou and other regions.
