Statistics Korea said that the consumer price index rose 6.3% last month.
Following the 6% inflation rate in June, it has been in the 6% range for the second month in a row.

In particular, vegetables soared by nearly 26%.
Last month's increase in utility rates also fueled the 6% rise in inflation.
The increase in electricity, gas and water prices increased by 15.7%.
The perceived price has also risen significantly.
As a result of a survey focusing on items that consumers frequently buy, it showed an increase of nearly 8%.
It also jumped 0.4% compared to June.
Inflation rate by region was highest in Gangwon-do at 7.6% and lowest in Seoul at 5.5%.
The National Statistical Office said that the prices of industrial products such as petroleum and personal services such as restaurants maintained a high upward trend.
