China News Service, August 2nd (Xie Yiguan, China-Singapore Finance and Economics reporter) On the 2nd, the China Consumers Association released an analysis of the complaints received by the National Consumers Association in the first half of 2022.

The article mentioned that complaints in the field of commercial housing have increased.

In the first half of this year, the National Consumers Association received a total of 5,787 complaints about commercial housing, a year-on-year increase of 23.31%.

The main problems of consumer complaints are: First, the unfinished housing causes disputes.

For example, due to misappropriation of funds or lower-than-expected sales volume by some developers, the capital chain is broken, and the project is therefore suspended.

Some consumers took out loans to buy houses, and for this reason, they asked to stop paying their mortgages, causing a loan repayment turmoil.

Second, the developer did not deliver the house on time.

Some developers overdue their projects due to their own reasons, but do not assume corresponding liability for breach of contract due to the impact of the epidemic and force majeure exemption.

The third is that the developer promises not to be fulfilled.

For example, some developers promise old customers to bring new customers to buy houses to obtain corresponding rewards, but then refuse to honor them for various reasons.

Fourth, developers use supplementary agreements, special agreements, etc. to evade contract supervision, and formulate unfair standard terms to infringe on consumer rights.
