British Airways has suspended the sale of short-haul tickets from London's Heathrow airport, including flights within the UK and to Europe, to meet the airport's passenger limit, which capped daily travelers at 100,000 until 11 of September.

This has been published by the British newspaper 'The Times' and

confirmed by IAG to this newspaper.

The company announced that it would cancel 10,300 flights until October, affecting one million passengers, due to the airport's measure due to the shortage of personnel.

The IAG airline has indicated that

these cancellations will raise the price of the tickets of the competition

, giving them an advantage.

Specifically, Emirates has refused to accept the airport's measure of limiting flights.

The Competition and Markets Authority and the UK Civil Aviation Authority issued a joint letter to airlines expressing concern about the problems passengers could suffer if companies "fail to meet their obligations", among them,

the sale "of more tickets than they can reasonably operate."

The airport's main problem is the lack of human resources among ground staff, which causes long queues to access the facilities or collect luggage.

As they pointed out, they are working to get more staff.
