The government has announced that it will eradicate illegal short selling.
Financial authorities, including Chairman Kim Joo-hyeon and Financial Supervisory Service Chairman Lee Bok-hyun, held a joint meeting today (28th) and said that if they are caught selling illegally, they will be punished severely and the system will be improved.
In this regard, President Yoon Seok-yeol ordered related organizations to establish countermeasures with the determination to eradicate illegal acts surrounding short selling.
