Deflation in Russia for the week amounted to 0.08%

“For the period from July 16 to July 22, 2022, the consumer price index, according to Rosstat, amounted to 99.92%, from the beginning of July - 99.92%, from the beginning of the year - 111.32%,” the statement says.

According to the statistical office, fruits and vegetables fell in price by 3.6% on average.

In June, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, said that Russia was slipping into a deflationary spiral.
