The local stock markets consolidated their gains, after they gained 32.81 billion dirhams at the end of trading yesterday, which raised its total gains in four sessions to about 71.66 billion dirhams, amid a state of optimism, driven by strong profits for the first half announced by listed companies.

The value of trading in the two markets in yesterday's session exceeded 1.54 billion dirhams, distributed over 1.32 billion dirhams in the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, and about 219.07 million dirhams in the Dubai Financial Market, while the trading volume reached 245.17 million shares, with 167.33 million shares in the "Abu Dhabi Securities", And 77.83 million shares in “Dubai Financial”, distributed over about 13.98 thousand deals in the two markets.

The Dubai Financial Market index closed yesterday, up by 1.38% at the level of 3256 points, with transactions worth a total of 219 million dirhams.

The market witnessed an increase in the shares of 19 companies out of the 32 companies whose shares were traded, while the shares of 12 companies declined, and the share of one company remained stable.

In turn, the "Emaar Properties" share closed up by 0.2% at 5.38 dirhams, amid trading of nearly nine million shares, and the "Dubai Islamic" share rose by 3.8% at 5.78 dirhams, and transactions exceeded seven million shares, and the "Emirates NBD" share by about 2% at 12.95 dirhams, with trading close to two million shares.

For his part, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index ended trading yesterday, up by 2.28%, at the level of 9589 points.

Of the 53 companies whose shares were traded during the session, the shares of 26 companies rose, while the shares of 17 companies declined, and the shares of 10 companies remained stable.

And «First Abu Dhabi» shares closed with an increase of 3.3% at 19.70 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly 12 million shares, and «Etisalat» share increased by 4% at 28.34 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly three million shares.

In turn, «Al Dar Properties» rose by 3% to reach 4.75 dirhams, with a traded amount of more than 18 million shares, while «Multiplay» share increased by 0.6% to reach 1.76 dirhams, and a trade amounted to nearly 30 million shares.
