The financial markets conclude the trading session with 9 billion dirhams, market gains

Local financial markets rose with the close of trading today, recording market gains of about nine billion dirhams, distributed between 3.6 billion dirhams in the Dubai Financial Market, and 5.4 billion dirhams in the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange.


The Dubai Financial Market index rose 0.49% or 15.53 points, to close at 3186.43 points, with transactions worth 214.48 million dirhams.

The market value of the Dubai Financial Market increased from 535.89 billion dirhams to 539.48 billion dirhams, bringing the market to a profit of 3.59 billion dirhams.

The session witnessed an increase in the shares of 12 companies out of the 29 companies whose shares were traded, while the shares of 12 companies declined, and the shares of five companies remained stable.


"Du" shares topped the list with increases of 6.94% at 6.16 dirhams, with transactions approaching 6.84 million dirhams, and "Takaful House" rose by 1.97% at 0.979 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 137.19 thousand dirhams.

In turn, the shares of «Union Coop» increased in the second trading session in the market by 1.69% to reach 3.62 dirhams, and transactions approached 10.2 million dirhams.

"Emaar Properties" was the most heavily traded stock, which closed with an increase of 0.56%, reaching 5.34 dirhams, with a transaction approaching 67.18 million dirhams, with a trading volume of 12.6 million shares, followed by "Tecom Group", which closed with an increase of 1.3%, amounting to 2.33 dirhams, with transactions close to 21.38 million dirhams, and a trading volume of 9.14 million shares.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index rose at the end of yesterday's session by 0.55% at the level of 9,249.71 points, with transactions worth 1.18 billion dirhams.

Out of the 50 companies whose shares were traded, the shares of 25 companies rose, while the shares of 16 companies declined, and the shares of nine companies remained stable.

In turn, «First Abu Dhabi» share closed with an increase of 0.8% at 18.80 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 10 million shares, while «Etisalat» share increased by 2% at 26.04 dirhams, with transactions of nearly two million shares.

Shares of «Multiplay» increased by 0.6% to reach 1.74 dirhams, with a transaction approaching 36 million shares, while «ADNOC Distribution» shares increased by 0.7% to reach 4.24 dirhams, with a traded amount of more than 11 million shares.
