Ruby Roman, which was originally developed by Ishikawa Prefecture, is a high-class grape that meets strict standards such as a grain size of 3.1 cm or more in diameter and a sugar content of 18 degrees or more, and began shipping in 2008.

On the 15th, the first auction of the 15th season was held at the Kanazawa Central Wholesale Market, and 187 bunches shipped from farmers in various parts of the prefecture were auctioned one after another while the bidders shouted.



The highest price was given to Ruby Roman, which has 27 grains and weighs 800 grams, and the company that runs a hot spring inn in the prefecture has sold the highest price of 1.4 million yen last year for 10 million yen. I bid for 1.5 million yen per bunch, which is more than 10,000 yen.



The grapes that were auctioned off will be taken to the inn in Noto-cho, which is run by the company, and will be served to guests.

Daisuke Shimada, the chef at the inn of the company that was auctioned off, said, "I want many people to enjoy the ruby ​​romance that Ishikawa Prefecture is proud of, and it will be a catalyst for tourism in Ishikawa Prefecture."



The shipment of "Ruby Roman" will continue until the end of September, and it is expected that about 30,000 bunches will be shipped.
