On July 10, as the last steel truss girder was hoisted in place, the Jinfeng Wujiang Bridge, the first six-lane steel truss suspension bridge constructed with prefabricated parallel wire rope strands in Guizhou Province, was successfully closed.

The Jinfeng Wujiang Bridge has a total length of 1473.5 meters. It is an important control project for the expressway from Guiyang via Jinsha to Gulin (Qianchuan boundary), with a design speed of 100Km/h.

The single main cable of the bridge has 127 strands, the main cable and its anchored tie rods have high fatigue stress amplitude, six-lane live load, and wheel load.

The use of prefabricated parallel wire rope strands in the construction of the bridge not only saves construction time but also saves costs.

The construction party said that the prefabricated parallel wire rope strands have been processed and formed at the factory, and the traction and installation can be carried out directly on site.
