During her general policy statement on Wednesday before the deputies, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne confirmed the State's intention to renationalise the French company.
"Why are we doing it? Simply because energy independence is priceless and the war in Ukraine has shown us all that depending on Russian gas and oil is the worst idea you can have" , declared Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, on Europe 1 Thursday.
