“Vitol stated that it had agreed to sell its stake and was in the process of completing legal formalities,” the article cited by TASS reads.

The company noted that Vitol has reduced the volume of shipments of Russian oil and petroleum products by about 80% since January 2022 and intends to continue reducing these volumes until the end of this year.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Vitol intends to completely stop trading in Russian oil and oil products by the end of 2022.

The volume of Russian oil processed by Vitol will decrease significantly in the second quarter of this year as contractual obligations decrease.
