According to the amendments to the law on energy management, UGS operators in Germany must gradually fill storage facilities.

By October 1, they must be filled up to 80%, by November 1 - up to 90%.

“It is not yet clear whether this goal will be achieved,” Mueller said.

As German Vice Chancellor and Economics Minister Robert Habeck said earlier, Germany could face rolling power outages to utility utilities due to gas shortages.

The tabloid Bild noted that Robert Habeck's plan to deliver liquefied natural gas to Germany in order to ensure a stable energy supply for the country this coming winter is failing.
