Recently, 120,400 mu of winter wheat in Haidong City, known as the "East Gate" of Qinghai, has been ripe for harvesting.
Haidong City, located in the Yellow River and Huangshui Valley, is the largest agricultural area in Qinghai, with more than half of the province's grain production and nearly half of the province's vegetable supply.
In Longkang Village, Gandu Town, Hualong County, Haidong City, on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, in the golden wheat fields, large-scale combine harvesters have become the "protagonists" in the wheat harvest, and they shuttled through the wheat waves to show the harvest.
This year, in order to increase the harvest of the people, the local government encouraged the people to cooperate with the Qinghai Academy of Agriculture and Forestry to improve seeds, and organized agricultural technicians and local experts to provide technical services and technical guidance in the fields.
At present, the yield per mu of winter wheat reaches 1,200 to 1,300 catties.
