China News Service, July 5th. On the 5th, the 34th issue of the vegetable production information special issue (the 144th issue in total) released by the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that, according to the monitoring of the vegetable production information monitoring and early warning network, in June 2022, 28 vegetable production The monthly average land price of products was 1.91 yuan/kg, down 17.0% month-on-month and 12.0% year-on-year. The vegetable land price was at the lowest point in the same period in the past five years.

In June 2022, the national vegetable land price has three characteristics: First, the overall price is in the low price range.

June is the peak season for open-field vegetable production in my country. The national average temperature and average precipitation are higher than the same period of the previous year, and the average sunshine hours are higher than that in 2021, which is generally conducive to vegetable production, and the supply is relatively sufficient. The monthly average land price is month-on-month and year-on-year. on a downward trend.

Second, it showed a downward trend in the first half of the month.

On June 9, the field price of vegetables was 1.78 yuan/kg, down 6.3% from 1.90 yuan/kg at the beginning of the month, falling to the lowest point since 2022, and 57.7% lower than the highest price of the year (4.21 yuan/kg).

Third, the price stopped falling and rebounded in the mid-to-late period.

After June 10-16 and 26-30 two rounds of relatively large increases, the price at the end of the month reached 2.16 yuan / kg, an increase of 21.3% compared with the price on June 9.

There are two main reasons for the increase: on the one hand, due to the continuous high temperature weather in the Huanghuaihai and Bohai Rim areas, facility vegetables were pulled ahead of schedule, reducing the supply.

On the other hand, the continuous rainfall in the south affected the normal growth and harvesting of vegetables. Some areas of Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Fujian and other provinces suffered from floods of varying degrees, and more than 1 million mu of vegetables were affected.

In addition, social consumption affected by the epidemic has begun to recover, and the demand for vegetables has increased.

From the perspective of the main producing areas in the middle and late June of June, except for the monthly average land price in the advantageous areas of summer and autumn vegetables in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, which remained the same month-on-month, the land prices in other advantageous areas all declined, of which the northern production areas fell relatively sharply.

In the Loess Plateau, the predominant area of vegetables in summer and autumn, the predominant area of facilities in Huanghuaihai and Bohai Rim, the predominant area of vegetables in summer and autumn in the north, the predominant area of vegetables in winter and spring in the Yangtze River Basin, and the predominant area of vegetables in winter and spring in the south China and southwest hot regions, the monthly average land prices in June decreased respectively. 31.7%, 19.3%, 18.5%, 17.8%, 6.6%.

From the perspective of main varieties, among the 28 vegetable products under key monitoring, the land prices of 22 products decreased month-on-month, and 6 products increased month-on-month.

Among them, winter melon, tomato, cowpea and round eggplant all fell by more than 40%; cauliflower and green onion rose by more than 30%.

In July, the national vegetable production is facing uncertainty, and land prices are expected to rebound.

One is the transformation of vegetable stubble in some areas.

In July, the winter and spring facilities vegetables in North China and the southern regions entered the rest period, and some areas entered the summer slack period of vegetable supply.

The second is the increase in vegetable consumption.

On June 28, the Comprehensive Group of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council announced the "New Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Plan (Ninth Edition)". Activities will return to normal, and catering and other consumption will pick up, which will lead to an increase in vegetable consumption.

Third, the weather is uncertain.

The China Meteorological Administration predicts that in July, the precipitation in the western part of the northwest region and most of the southern part of the Yangtze River will be low, the temperature will be high, and some areas may experience high temperature and drought; , drought and flood damage may occur, which will adversely affect vegetable production.

Recently, in order to strengthen the management of vegetables in the field and actively prevent and respond to disastrous weather in summer, the Planting Industry Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs organized experts to formulate and issue the Technical Guidance for Vegetable Production in Summer.

In the next step, the Plantation Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will closely discuss with the meteorological department, strengthen monitoring and early warning, guide localities to implement disaster prevention and mitigation measures, organize the vegetable expert guidance group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and experts in the vegetable industry technical system to strengthen technical guidance services. and recovery of production after the disaster, to ensure the supply of summer vegetables.
